The Future of Southampton Depends on Us

When we took office, we inherited a Village that had deteriorated under the previous administration, with record vacancies and the most polluted lakes in the State of New York. Southampton also suffered from a tax levy that had increased by 100% over 15 years and an exodus of year-round residents.

Now, we have a record low of vacancies, installed state-of-the-art technology to clean our lakes with over $300,000 in grant funding, and have lowered the tax levy for the first time in history. We didn’t let the pandemic stop our progress: we produced some of the best COVID-19 testing numbers in the country, issued the first mask mandate in New York State, provided our community members and hospital workers with an ample supply of ventilators, viral testing, and PPE, and ensured that all seniors wanting a vaccine received one. In just two years, we’ve turned Southampton Village around. Let’s move forwards, not backwards.

COVID-19 Resources

Southampton Village administrators have slowed the spread of COVID-19 by getting the proper equipment to our healthcare workers throughout the pandemic. We partnered with Hampton Health Society to get PPE and ventilators to healthcare workers. We accomplished initiatives to give out masks and sanitizers to our community. We established a COVID-19 testing site through our partnership with Hampton Health Society. As the COVID-19 pandemic progresses daily, we continue to work to keep the village safe and vibrant.
